Prior to venturing out in the heat, made sure that we had the necessary survival items (hats, comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and a heavy coating of suntan lotion applied to exposed skin). There are no other places to dine if you come during the off season, so you'll want to eat in Bullhead City (lots of options there).įollowing our visit to the Colorado River Museum, reentered the world of the sweltering heat (at 1613 hours the camper exterior temperature gauge was display 115 degrees). During the late spring and summer, the restaurant is open. There's a little beach and lots of parking. The rental boats can hold 6 to 12 people. It's good for families, and for a friend get away. We'd stay here again and definitely rent another boat for a few hours. Traditional hotel keys are nice to see too. We had some issues, but the staff was really great and understanding and everything went well in the end. They are doing upgrades to the building and rooms. The bathrooms are older, but it's nice to see the way things used to be and they are repainted and clean. The rooms are updated, but with the charm of days past. There's a little store that has everything for a boating day like sunscreen, hats, ice, towels, snacks, beer, etc. You'll pay a park fee around $25 even if you're staying at the hotel. We came to rent a boat and check out the area on the water. It's a relaxing place! Definitely for boaters and jet skiers.
